Every Pow Wow book, on all 15 volumes, has been processed through
Optical Character Recognition software. While not 100% accurate, this
does give you the ability to accurately search 431 books (over 126,000
pages) for:
- The lyrics to a song you heard at camp, but can only remember a few
specific words
- Theme-related material
- Crafts which use specific materials
- Recipes which use specific ingredients
- and much, much more!
It is easy to search every book on the CD. Follow these four simple steps:
- Copy all the text files into a single directory on your computer
- Use Google Desktop, or Windows Explorer Search to search for a keyword
or phrase in all files.
- Open each book in the "Search Results" list using Microsoft Word or
Wordpad.
- Do a second search, using the same keyword or phrase in Step 2, but this
time inside each book. Remember, to search through the entire book, as the
keyword or phrase may be repeated multiple times.
